We went on a “solstice vigil” trip to the bog to celebrate the long day! We left my apartment in the evening and got there with plenty of daylight left. We stayed until the diurnal birds stopped singing. At the WMA we saw several greenish blues!

Mercury!

On our way home from exploring the outdoors tonight, we saw Mercury! I’ve always wanted to see this planet. It was a tiny sparkle just below Venus. We watched as it sank below the horizon around 10 PM.
